How the economy works in Trinidad and Tobago, piece by piece: prices, the government’s two tools, energy, the repo rate, inflation, the HSF and how each reaches a salary.
COURSE 01 · FOUNDATION
Take Control of Your Money
This course teaches you to see where your money goes, build a budget that holds, and size and fund an emergency reserve. Over four weeks you apply each method to your own income and currency, and finish with a working budget and a dated emergency-fund plan.
FREE LESSON
The first lesson of Module 01, in full. If the way we teach works for you, the rest of the course works the same way.
A budget built on the spending you remember misses the spending that happened. Before you plan anything, you measure.
Measuring means two (2) lists. The first is income. Every amount that arrives in a month, from salary to side work, after deductions. The second is spending, grouped into categories you choose: housing, food, transport, debt payments, savings, and the rest.
The categories matter less than the habit. For four weeks, every amount goes into a category on the day it is spent. At the end, you compare what you thought you spent with what you did.
